Malcolm is a band member of Colosseum, was a band member of Ian Dury & The Kilburns, The Frankie Miller Band, and was the drummer in the prog-rock band Gentle Giant playing on the album Three Friends.
Malcolm has worked as a session drummer for Tom Jones, Van Morrison, Mick & Chris Jagger, Tina Turner, Brian James, and Chris Spedding. He was the drummer for Neil Diamond and the 9/11 commemorative concert in Dublin in 2002, and in 2022 he became the drummer for the band Colosseum after the late John Hiseman passed away.
